He’s easy winner in any contest for THE
MOST HATED AND THE MOST LOVED
PERSON OF ALL HISTORY! Oddly
enough, He has something to say to both
those who hate Him and those that love
Him and even those who may not care
to listen to Him. We think He has spoken
authentically in the Bible in simple terms,
not just a lot of meaningless religious
gobbledygook but rockbottom facts about
people living with people, the energy
problem, sexual freedom, war, getting
ahead, ugly people, fun, money, fanatics,
doing your thing, study and results, hy

Wolverine- Irish
battle tops slate
United Press International
Following Wisconson s 21-14 victory over Michigan — the top-
ranked pre-season team — Notre Dame catapulted into the No. 1 spot
on the strength of a 27-9 victory over Louisiana State.
And Michigan, which fell to No. 12, hosts the Fighting Irish
Saturday in a nationally televised game scheduled to begin at noon
CDT.
“Michigan has a lot of psychological factors working for them, said
Notre Dame Coach Gerry Faust, who opened his college coaching
career last week. “They are coming off a loss and they have lost to
Notre Dame the last two years.
Michigan Coach Bo Schembechler said his team will have to come
off more adversity than at any other time in his career with the
Wolverines.
“What is worse for us than coming off a loss is that we didn’t play
well,” said Schembechler.
In order to defeat Notre Dame, the Wolverines must show more
consistency on offense where they were outgained by Wisconsin,
439-229.
Southern California, which jumped from No. 5 to No. 2 following its
43-7 triumph over Tennessee, meets Indiana, a 21-20 winner over
Northwestern. The Trojans are led by tailback Marcus Allen, who ran
for 210 yards against Tennessee.
