By KATHY O CONNELL Battalion Staff Student leaders at Texas A&M LTniversity gathered over the weekend to become aquaihted with University administrators and each other. The annual Fall Leadership Conference, held in Trinidad, proved to he a success said Ken Johnson, student body president. “1 think the program was relative to the needs of the student,” he said. ”1 think one of the benefits of the conference is that all the lead ers on campus got together. Usually during the year we’re so busy running around we don’t have time to talk to each other,” Johnson said. Doug Noah, MSC vice presi dent of development said: “As far as how successful it was, I think it was probably one of the best con ferences I’ve been to of that kind. The planning and scheduling was good. It never got boring. ” Noah agreed with Johnson in that the student leaders got to meet with each other. “The at mosphere was real lax,” he said. To establish an informal attitude at the conference, Noah said there were a few ice breakers, such as having to memorize everyones name, versity adminstrators on a one-to- one basis also was good, Noah said. Suzanne Becker, adviser to the Fall Leadership Conference said she tried to be unbiased about the success of the conference, but many students and MSC staff complimented her on how suc cessful the conference was. “James Randolph (associate MSC director) has been to seven confer ences and he said this was the best he’s ever been to,” she said. Donald L. Wass, president of the William Oncken Company of Texas, Inc., gave the keynote address at the conference. Wass’. company is a consulting firm spe-; cializing in organization planning and develpment. AUTO INSURANCE FOR AGGIES: Call: George Webb Farmers Insurance Group 3400 S. Anc they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “where are you?” (Gen. 3:8-9, N.A.S.V.) Man ii M disobeyed the Word of God. Instead of eating from the tree of life, man had partaken of that source which God said would result in death — the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Gen. 2:9, 17). r so doing, man had not merely disobeyed God; he had also taken into his being the ver> eicment and nature of sin. Death was the result — spiritually, psychologically, and physically as well Being indwelt by the essence of sin (Rom. 7:17, 20), man’s body became “the ilesh c: sm (Rom. 8:3, Gk.). Only then can we be at peace with God and man. if you have neve' been cleansed from your sin by the blood of Jesus, you can be right now. You can be freed from sin’s condemnation by receiving Jesus Christ. Simply open yourself in prayer to receive the cleansing from all sin and to take Christ into you as your new life. “Lord Jesus, I ask You to wash me from my sins in Your precious blood. Lord Jesus, come into me and fill me with Youself as life.” There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 8:1). “THE UNSEARCHABLE RICHES OF CHRIST..
