The 13 officials, including the president of Golden Jersey Creamery of Edinburg, Texas, and an assistant su perintendent of the Mission School District, were indict ed Tuesday in a 13-count federal grand jury indictment.’ Prosecutors said 10 of the 13 officials were arrested and jailed at the Hidalgo County Jail late Tuesday and the accused officials were to appear Wednesday before U.S. Magistrate William Mallet. Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel Ramirez said the officials were charged with submitting $495,655 in false reimburse ment claims for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's milk subsidy program. The indictments also alleged conspiracy to collect another $31,082 in false claims. The charges involved the federal program which partial ly reimburses low income school districts for milk purch ases. Another milk program cited in the indictments was the USDA’s summer food service program for children of low income families. Mission school district officials named in the indictments included food services director Michael Jon McCarthy, 33, Pharr, Texas; former food services director Myrtice I. Cad- dell, 62, McAllen, Texas; assistant school superis: Robert H. Wicks, 55, Mission; assistant foodsems ctor Gerardo M.
