Signs of spring and spring elections are every
where.
Candidates for student government offices have
started campaigning by setting up billboards and
distributing fliers.
Leah Whitby, election commissioner, said that
there are regulations candidates must follow.
To be eligible to campaign, students had to attend
one of two mandatory meetings held Sunday and
Monday night, to review election regulations and to
draw for placement on the election ballot.
Whitby said Student Government election reg
ulations are the same as rules governing other stu
dent organizations.
Wooden signs are limited to a total of 32 square
feet.

If one person moves out of a
dorm after a certain date and
another person moves into that
room, Texas A&M University
could get paid twice for the room
for at least half of the semester.
Dena Todd, coordinator of spe
cial services in student affairs, said
that this situation is possible and
does happen, but it is in accord
ance with University regulations.
