Wilcox, ‘ The grand old man of Texas education,” died Monday night in Dallas at the age of 91. i Wilcox served for 50 years in public education — 40 of them at Texas A&M University. He was a professor and the head of the Department of Edu cation and Psychology when he retired in 1959. “His greatest achievement was his leadership in educational administration,” said Dr. Paul R.
