Two Aggies are hurt and will defi nitely be out of action on the A&M varsity courts. Liliana Fernandez has hurt her shoulder and will not com pete. Terri Nuetze has been ill and is resting. The players competing are: Pam Hill, Maylen Hooten, Amy Gloss, Sonja Hutcherson, Laura Hanna, Mary Hise, Judy Willard and Ferol Hinkle. The doubles teams will be Closs- Hanna, Hill-Hutcherson, Willard- Hinkle and Hooten-Hise. “Due to injuries and illness,” said Cannon, “we are going to have to play the freshmen in high positions.” She said they (freshmen) played well in the SWC Fall tournament. Hanna, Hutcherson, Gloss and Hise are freshmen and have re sponded well to the situations they have been forced into, she said. She went on to say the Ags are on the mend right now. At one time or another in the past two weeks, she said, all of the girls have been out with an illness of some type. “Colds and the flu have hit every body,” said Gloss. “They are all start ing to come back so I think we will do well this weekend.” Cannon said the Lamar team has five Swedes as its top six players. “Those foreigners sure can be tough,” she said. “They produce some very good tennis players in Sweden.” The Battalion Picks A )> Kurt Allen 1 H Rick Stolle Mike Burrichter dp Richard Oliver ]on He®: Notre Dame at USC Florida at Florida St. Cowboys at Raiders Falcons at Eagles Rams at Bills Odessa Permian vs. Amarillo Highland Park vs. Plano Stratford vs. P.A.
