Carl Grulich recovered a Texas fum

DALLAS — The Philadelphia
76ers have managed to escape early
season injuries, and coach Billy Cun
ningham says that has played an im
portant role in compiling a healthy
20-3 record, best in the NBA.
The 76ers, led by Julius Erving’s
31 points, rolled to their 20th win
Tuesday night, easily throttling the
Dallas Mavericks, 108-92.
“We have gotten out of the chute
pretty good,” said Cunningham,
whose team has won 10 straight road
games.
