State Fair rides

DALLAS — Ride operators at the State Fair of Texas seem to'
having more problems this year than any in the recent past.
About 50 people went into a 25 mph spin for about 10 mint!
Saturday after a hydraulic pump malfunctioned on a ride called ll
Enterprise. Though no one was injured, 32 complained of nausea*
wobbly knees. Authorities said the ride would be shut down untilil* 5
repaired.
In another incident Saturday, a 32-year-old Dallas man fell25fe
after losing his balance while apparently standing on a roller corf
called Super Zyklon.
Police said Dale Douglas struck a couple of supporting struts belt
hitting the ground. Police said Douglas refused to get into an an®
lance called to the scene.
On Thursday, a 28-year-old woman was thrown from the Himai
ride and her mother complained the ride did not close after -
incident. The woman suffered a broken wrist and a cut on her he*
