SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT II (Manor East) Again Burt Reynolds and Jerry Reed have a great time in a entertaining movie about speeding through the South without getting caught. Rated PG. TERROR TRAIN (Manor East) A horror film with a Halloween-type murderer loose on a train with a fraternity party. Rated R. THE INVISIBLE MAN (601 Rudder) Claude Rains stars as a mad scientist turned invisible who wants to rule the world. Special effects make this one a classic. 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. Thursday. Unrated. THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT (Rudder Theater) A must for rock fans of all ages, this film chronicles the career of The Who. Friday and Saturday midnight. Rated PG. THE SHINING (Manor East) Stanley Kubrick’s epic horror film which is well made but unfortunately not particularly scary. Friday and Saturday at midnight. Rated R. Live Entertainment: BACKSTAGE: Kevin Matheny will perform Thursday. Bart and Keith, a guitar-ventriloquist team, will appear Friday and guitarist Ken Appelt will perform Saturday.
