Wednesday afternoon, pole vaul- ter Randy Hall failed to leap the qualifying height of 17-2 3 /4 in the second flight of the competition, and was also eliminated. The biggest surprise of the day was the failure of Aggie trackster Leslie Kerr to show up for his second round heat. He had qualified for the final elimination heats on Tuesday with a fourth place 47.31 showing in his first heat, but failed to race Wednesday morning. Kerr was not available for comment. Earlier in the week, Aggie hurdler Billy Busch was eliminated in a prim ary heat of the high hurdles.
