Financial
aid now
available
Summer is a good time to apply for
financial aid, according to Steve
Danz, director of The Scholarship
Bank, a non-profit scholarship search
service for students.
While many better-known finan
cial aid programs have closed their
doors for fall scholarships, The Scho
larship Bank specializes in letting
students know about lesser-known,
private funding sources. These,
. Danz said, accept applications year-
round. The number of applications
received during the summer is
much less than the number re
ceived during the school year, mak
ing the competition much less in
tense.
applicants with up to fifty separate
aid sources for which they are eligi

receives 32 sources with a combined
scholarship value of $17,000. Many
of those are renewable yearly, in-

For the Best
Summer of Your Life
Metro Properties, Bryan-College Station’s largest apartment
managers, has special deals on “summer only” leases: we’ve rolled
back the prices to 1979.
You can lease any available Metro apartment for this summer
at last year’s rates.
For example, a one-bedroom, one bath unit at Sevilla starts as
low as $ 145/mo. Rates at Scandia begin at $150. At Sausalito, 1
bedroom, 1 bath models start at $175. At Sundance, rates start at
$185 and begin at $190 at Cripple Creek.
All units will have shuttlebus service to the campus through the
summer.
And there are special family sections at most projects: adjacent
to the Oaks Park (near Woodstone Commerce Center on FM 30)
and next to a child care center (in Anderson Ridge).
Call or visit any Metro leasing office today to arrange for an
apartment for the Best Summer of Your Life.

San Antonio

push-up king
United Press International
SAN ANTONIO — Wearing blue
gym shorts labelled “champ,” 3-
year-old, 35-pound Henry Marshall
Jr. did more than 1,000 push-ups in
two hours Monday.
Marshall was coached by his
father, Henry Marshall Sr., listed in
the Guiness Book of World Records
for doing 9,000 pushups in five
hours.
Little Henry did the push-ups at
intervals, pausing to take swigs of
cola and recite lines from his favorite
cartoons.
Marshall Sr. said he wants to get
his son in the Guiness Book, too.
“As a baby, Henry used to watch
me doing push-ups for hours. Then
one day he surprised the heck out of
me and began to imitate me.”

DON’T LET
BUSINESS TRAVEL
INTERFERE WITH
WARM WEATHER!
If travel plays a big part in your business, don’t let it interfere with those
fun things you like to do every spring and summer with your family.
Avoid those “still-on-the-road” trying to get home or stuck somewhere
overnight trips. Learn to fly - and your travel schedule will let you do
more. Find out with a Cessna Pilot Center$20 Discovery Flight and bring
the family. $20 will put you in the pilot’s seat flying an airplane under the
guidance of a Cessna Pilot Center flight instructor. Best of all you’ll get
the facts on learning to fly with a booklet entitled The Answer Book. It’s
free, just ask for it. It explains why learning to fly provides you personal
air travel that is safe, fast and fuel-efficient. Take your $20 Discovery
