Forsch, 3-0, struck out two and walked three in notching his first complete game and first shutout of the season. The Astros scored their first run off Reds’ starter Charlie Leibrandt, 1-2, in the fourth inning when Joe Mor gan led off with a single to right, stole second and, after an infield hit by Art Howe, scored when Enos Cabell hit into a double play. Cedeno’s homer, after Jose Cruz reached on a fielder’s choice in the sixth, slammed high off the left-field foul pole to give the Astros’ their final two runs. The Reds mounted their only scor ing threat in the fifth when Ray Knight reached on a fielder’s choice with two out, Cesar Geronimo dou bled and Leibrandt walked to load the bases. Forsch then struck out Ken Griffey to end the inning. With the defeat of Cincinnati, Houston moves to within half a game of the Reds, who are in first place in the National League Western Divi sion. The two teams face each other again today at 7:05 CST in Cincin nati.
