TV festivities begin Friday with a Bash at Lakeview Club from 8 to midnight. Dennis Ivey and W'aymen will be the featured ^ Tickets are $5 per couple and junior banquet will be held Qay from 5-8 p. m. at the Brazos wter. Jack Raines, a former student and president of Three-D International Co., will be the featured speaker at the banquet which also includes a slide show about the history of the Class of ’80. The Ring Dance will be held Saturday from 9 p.m.-l a.m. in two locations because of the size of the senior class. One band, J.R. Brass, will play a variety of music in the 2nd floor bal lroom of the Memorial Student Cen ter. The Ed Gerbach Orchestra will play in the Exhibit Hall in Rudder Tower, playing mostly ballroom music. Tickets for the banquet must be purchased with a Ring Dance tickets for a total of $30 per couple. Tickets for the Ring Dance may be brought separately for $10 a couple. Tickets for the banquet and the Ring Dance must be purchased in the Rudder Box Office by 4 p.m. today. Tickets for the Ring Dance only and for the Senior Bash may be pur chased either at the Rudder Box Office through Friday or at the door. Walker, vice president for devlopment, and never actually spent, Charles Salomon, assistant director of development said. The income generated by the principle will be used to fund the scholarships, he said. Lechner, who died in September at the age of 89, graduated from North Texas State University. He studied enigneering at Texas A&M in 1912. He was enrolled at Texas A&M for less than a year. Lechner made his money in the oil industry. He was one of the prinicpal discoverers of the north portion of the giant East Texas oil field during the 1920s. President Miller said that Lech- ner’s “most generous gift” will be instrumental in attracting top stu dents to this university, which already enrolls more National Merit Scholars than any other public insti tution in the Southwest. r\ j ETA applications open The Brazos Valley Development Hindi’s CETA program will be tak- applications for the Summer mth Employment Program on turday at Washington Campus, th and Houston in Bryan from 9 to 3 p.m. Hie program will provide econo- mically disadvantaged youth the opportunity to gain work experience and training while earning an in come.
