Hyman Kickov er, President Lyndon B. Johnson, former Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey, actor John Wayne, photographer Ansel Adams and nine others. The awards will be presented at a ceremony in the White House June 9. Johnson, Humphrey, Wayne and scientist Rachel Carson’s all are post humous. Michael Scott Murphy, 21, of4022 Green Valley Drive, told police he was kicked in the stomach and cut in the face while trying to defend a female companion who was being harassed by a man who followed the couple from a nearby convenience store to the parking lot. Murphy was taken to St. Joseph Hospital, where he was treated for a facial cut. A police report stated that Mur phy and his companion were about to leave the 7-11 store near the Doux Chene complex at about 12:30 a.m. when a man, described as approxi mately 22 years old, drove up to Murphy’s car and began talking to the woman, who was in the driver’s She drove off, andwasfoj into the parking lot by themaL was driving a pickup trad, ^ port said.
