BRIDAL FAIR: MSC Free University will sponsor a talk on “Family
Planning” at 12 p.m. in the MSC Basement Coffeehouse. Admis
sion is free.
E.T. SOCIETY: Will sponsor a semi-formal barbecue and dance at 7
p.m. in Qonset Hut B. Tickets may be obtained from any E.T.
officers and are $3 for members and $3.50 for non-members.
CLASS OF ’81: Will sponsor Class of’81 T-Shirt Day. All members of
the class should wear their class t-shirt.

EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY GRADUATE LECTURE:
Joseph C. Kobos will speak at 9 a. m. in 301 Rudder.
“THE DEER HUNTER”: Robert DeNiro, Christopher Walken, John
Savage and Meryl Streep star in this Academy Award winning
picture detailing how the Vietnam War affects three friends who
decide to be patriotic and enlist in the Army. The film follows the
group from a wedding of one of their buddies, to the dangers of the
war itself, to the effect the war had on each of the three men. The
feature will be shown at 7:30 p.m. in Rudder Auditorium.
“AMERICAN TICKLER”: Originally titled The Winner of 10
Academy Awards, this film’s mode is an Academy Awards presenta
tion with animated titles for each separate category. Spoofing
awards and everything else, the satire offers a game show in which
the host has a frantic contestant gamble away her loved ones. The
feature will be shown at midnight in Rudder Auditorium.
AGRONOMY SOCIETY: Will hold a square dance at 7:30 p.m. in
Zachry Engineering Center. The dance is open to the public and
everyone is invited to attend.
NEWMAN COFFEEHOUSE: Will sponsor games and free live en
tertainment from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Student Center.
A TOUCH OF CLASS: Moses, Moore and Crocker will sponsor an All
Girls Free party at 7:30 p.m. at the Brazos Center.
NEWMAN ORGANIZATION: Will hold a Bible study at 8:15 p.m. at
St. Mary’s Student Center.
FISH CAMP: Will have a mandatory counselor meeting at 7 p.m. in
701 Rudder.
MUSLIM STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION: Will sponsor a Qur’an study
class at 10 a.m. in 410 Rudder. Everyone is welcome to attend.
PAKISTAN CLUB: Will sponsor a children’s Qur’an study class at 10
a.m. in 402 Rudder.
SADDLE & SIRLOIN: Will have their spring Judging Contest at 2
p.m. in 215 Animal Industries Bldg.
DELTA Y: Will sponsor a carwash from 1-5 p.m. at McDonald’s
Parking Lot. Price will be $2.
BRIDAL FAIR FASHION SHOW: Will be held from 2-5 p.m. in 201
MSC. Tickets are $1 and are available at the MSC Box Office.
BIOMEDICAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATION: Will have their spring
picnic beginning at 1 p.m. at Hensel Park. There will be games and
the group will eat at 3 p.m.
“CASABLANCA”: This compelling mystery will be shown at 7:30 p.m.
in the Grove.

SATURDAY
COTTON PAGEANT AND BALL: The Agronomy Society will spon
sor the pageant and ball beginning at 7 p. m. in Rudder Auditorium
and at 9 p.m. in 225 MSC respectively. Tickets are on sale in the
MSC Box Office for $1.50 for the pageant and $6 per couple for the
ball.
ASSOCIATED GENERAL CONTRACTORS: Will have their
Annual Awards Banquet at 7 p.m. in the Ramada Inn banquet
room. An open-bar social will follow the banquet.
TAMU ROADRUNNERS: Will sponsor one-mile and three-mile
timed races beginning at 8 a.m. at the Beef Cattle Center. Every
one is invited to participate.
CLASS OF’81: The Class Picnic will be held from 11a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
at Bee Creek Park. Class members should bring drinks and sign up
for a food item at the Class of’81 table in the MSC. There will be
games and sports equipment will be provided.

COMMUNITY SINGERS: Will rehearse for the May 3 performance
at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
HOWDY WEEK: Will continue through Friday. A free Howdy t-shirt
and $5 will be awarded to the 100th person to say Howdy to one of
the five mystery people on campus.
TAMU SCUBA CLUB: Will meet to elect officers at 7:30 p.m. in 308
Rudder.
HOUSTON OILERS vs. AGGIES WHO CARE: A benefit basketball
game for the Ronald McDonald House of Houston will begin at 7:30
p.m. in G. Rollie White Coliseum. Tickets are $2 for adults and $1
for children 12 years old and under and are available at the MSC
Box Office or at the door. )
COLLEGIATE 4-H CLUB: Will meet to elect officers at 7:30 p.m. in
113 Kleberg.
CORPUS CHRISTI HOMETOWN CLUB: Will meet to elect officers
at 7:45 p.m. in 607 Rudder.
BIBLE STUDY: The Student Y sponsored group will meet at 9 p.m. in
the Meditation Room of the All Faiths Chapel.
TUESDAY

day identified the hijacker of an
American Airlines Boeing 727 as a
35-year-old man claiming to be a for
mer dentistry student from Min
neapolis who dropped out of the Uni
versity of San Francisco last year.

monitored in Miami.
Radio Havana said the man’s first
name was Gerald. The last name was
not completely intelligible but
sounded like “Larmertin.”
Radio Havana said, “He spoke
fluently to the people of Cuba
through the press. He abandoned
the United States for political and
religious reasons.
“He said any (black) leader who
tried to show the right road to the
black people was exposed to death.
“In the U.S., black people live
without hope,” the broadcast said.
The broadcast quoted the man as
saying he abandoned his studies at
the university last year because of
troubles with university authorities.
