Frank Sinatra is no excep tion. The entertainer has lost and won at money and romance in Nevada. His two front teeth once were knock ed out in an altercation with a Sands Hotel casino boss. His son, Frank Jr., was kidnapped from a Lake Tahoe resort in 1963 and later re leased unharmed. That same year the state forced Sinatra to surrender a gambling license because it didn’t like h is friends. Sinatra prevailed in most every in stance. But he has never again held a Nevada gambling license. The entertainer has starred exclu sively at the Caesar’s Palace since his 1974 return to the Las Vegas “Strip. When the marquee reads "Sinatra," highrollers and big spenders flood into the resort. But Sinatra wants more than ap plause — he wants back in the gam ing industry with state sanction.
