The value of the dollar in creased slightly on most. Gold opened in Zurich at $666 an ounce, down $10 from Friday’s close of $676. In London it opened at $675.50, down $14.50 from Friday s close of $690. In Hong Kong, gold closed at $663.50 an ounce, down $11.50 from Saturday’s close. It had opened at $670 an ounce and stood at $672.50 at the morning close, but dealers said prices eased with the lack of buying support at higher levels. Zurich at 1.6368 Swiss francs, up from 1.6348; in Paris at 4.0910 French francs, up from 4.0860; in Amsterdam at 1.93 Dutch guilder, up from 1.9265, and in Milan at 809..35 Italian lire, up from 809.20.
