weatherize homes belonging to
elderly residents in a seven-county
area. Program director Sharon W.
Barnard said the citizens benefiting
from this program are at least 60
years old and receive incomes at or
below federal poverty guidelines.
Prior to the meeting, BVCAA only
needed Fairview residents’ permis
sion to use the room. In a letter to
Superintendent Wesley K. Sum
mers, Barnard said she had assumed
the board had approved the use.
The board approved the con
tinued use, but with one condition
— a monthly charge of $15.
under control, the inflationary press
ure on Mexico will be reduced and
our economy will be better able to
absorb larger export revenues from
increased exports of oil and gas.
“Conversely, we will not subject
our people to higher and higher rates
of inflation, if that trend continues,
our hydrocarbon development prog
ram and exports will be curtailed.”
Woody Allen’s “Getting Even”
will be presented tonight in the Rud
der Forum.
Members of the oral interpreta
tion group of the speech communica
tion department here will read ex
cerpts from Allen’s book.
The readings range from a story
about a private detective hired to
find God to a Jewish dress manufac
turer that beats death in a game of
gin rummy.
The program starts at 8 p.m. and
admission is free.
