“LORD OF THE RINGS”: J.R. R. Tolkien’s classic fantasy will be
shown at 8 and 10:30 p.m. in Rudder Auditorium. Advance tickets

BONFIRE CUTTING CLASSES: Will be held today and Friday at
5:15 p.m. at the Animal Science Pavilion. People wishing to work
on the Aggie Bonfire must obtain a cutting card.
PHI DELTA GAMMA: Will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Unitarian
Fellowship in College Station to honor new women faculty and
staff at Texas A&M. All new women faculty, staff and graduate
students are invited to attend.
“LIFE AFTER DEATH”: MSC Great Issues will present Dr.
Raymond Moody discusses “Life After Death” at 8 p.m. in Rud
der Theater. Student tickets are 50 cents, non-student tickets are
$1.
MSC RADIO COMMITTEE: Will meet at 7:30 p.m. in Room 410,
Rudder. The program will be “Bonfire Communications.”
“ENERGY FAIR”: Energy-saving products and devices from in
sulators to woodstoves will be displayed at 7:30 p.m. in the A&M
Consolidated High School Cafeteria. Sponsored by the Texas
Energy Extension Service.
EUROPE CLUB: Will meet at 7 p.m. in Room 139, MSC. All foreig
ners and friends welcome.
PENTECOSTAL UPPER ROOM: Will have a Bible study at 7:45
p.m. in the Meditation Room, All Faiths Chapel. Everyone wel
come.
MECHANIZED AGRICULTURE CLUB: Will meet to have Aggie-
land pictures taken (coat and tie) at 7:30 p.m. in the MSC Lounge.
E.E. STUDENT WIVES CLUB: Will meet at 7:30 p.m. in Room
342, Zachry. All wives of Electrical Engineering students are in
vited to attend.
FENCING CLUB: Will meet at 7 p.m. in Room 261, G. Rollie

GRADUATE STUDENT COUNCIL: All members and interested
persons are urged to attend the meeting at 5 p.m. in the Presi

SURF CLUB: Will meet and see a movie at 7:30 p.m. in Room 601,

MSC RECREATION: Gromets will have open tournaments in popu
lar multi-player game (including Diplomacy, Kingmaker and Rail-
baron) at 8 p.m. in Rooms 140 and 141, MSC. Everyone invited.
“THE GODFATHER": Marlon Brando, Al Pacino and James Caan
star in this Academy Award winning film about a Sicilian family’s
rise in America. Will be shown at 8 p.m. in Rudder Theater. (R)
MSC BASEMENT COMMITTEE: Local performers including Jeff
Clark, Carlos Mata and Ray Johnson, will perform at 8 p.m. in the
Basement Coffeehouse.
INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERS: Will have a party with
a variety of beers, whiskey sour punch, pretzels and cheese at 8
p.m. in the Arbor Square party room.
COLLEGE OF MEDICINE CONVOCATION: Professor Walter
Rosenblith of MIT will discuss “Technology and Medicine, The
Evolving Partnership” at 3 p.m. in Rudder Theater. The public is
invited.

George Segal stars as a fast food tycoon who wants Jacqueline
Bisset, his ex-wife and a pastry maker, to endorse his new food
chain. This murder mystery will be shown tonight and Saturday at
