Both the Ags and Raiders boast strong, quick defenses. Inten sity and motivation will be no prob lem this week. That was the situation the last time the Aggies mounted up and headed for the high plains of West Texas in 1977. The Aggies’ 33-17 victory was not indicative of the game which saw the Raiders lead the game through the first three quarters. The Aggies, led by the Wishbone attack of quarterback David Walker, fullback George Woodard and halfbacks Curtis Dickey and David Brothers, were supposed to finish high in the SWC. The Aggies also carried one of the best kickers in the country in Tony Franklin.
