Kubrick spins a tale of ultraviolence in the not-so-distant future. At

TENNIS: The women’s team will play in the TAIAW State Team
Tournament at Lamar University in Beaumont through Saturday.
TRACK: The men's team will participate in the Baylor Meet in Waco.
Friday, April 20
AGGIE CINEMA: “We’ve Never Been Licked.” (1943) Noan Beery
Jr. and Richard Quinn star in this wartime film about an Aggie who
doesn’t quite fit the c.t. mold, and defects to the Japanese. At 8
p.m. in Rudder Auditorium.
AGGIE CINEMA: “Semi-Tough.” (1977) Burt Reynolds and Kris
Kristofferson star as pro football players who involve themselves
in various silly antics. At 10 p.m. in Rudder Auditorium.
AGGIE CINEMA: “The Three Musketeers.” (1974) Oliver Reed,
Raquel Welch and Faye Dunaway star in this swashbuckler that
includes swordplay, romance, satire and slapstick comedy. At
midnight in Rudder Theater.

Tuesday, April 24
AGGIE CINEMA: “Madame Rosa.” (1978) Simone Signoret gives
one of her best performances as she portrays a former prostitute
who raises a 14-year-old Arab boy. At 8 p.m. in Rudder Theater.
MOVIE: “Talkin’ Union.” The first oral history film about working
women in Texas will be shown at 8 p.m. in Room 601, Rudder
Tower. The film will be followed by a discussion and reception
with Melissa Hield, the project coordinator for the film.
LECTURE: “Toward a Global Perspective in Higher Education.”
Harlan Cleveland, an educator and diplomat, will give the speech
at 2 p.m. in Room 301 of Rudder Tower. He has served as
Assistant Secretary of State, U.S. Ambassador to NATO and
president of the University of Hawaii.
FCA: The Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets every Tuesday at 8
p.m. in the Letterman’s Lounge.
Saturday, April 21
AGGIE CINEMA: “Semi-Tough.” (1977) Burt Reynolds and Kris
Kristofferson star as professional football players. At 8 and 10:30
p.m. in Rudder Theater.
BARBECUE: The student chapter of the Wildlife Society will hold a
wild game barbecue beginning at 2 p.m. at the Tabor Community
Center on Tabor Road. All Aggies are invited for the wild fare,
which includes bear, ostrich, deer, wild boar, goose and duck.
There will also be games and music. Tickets are $3.50.
Wednesday, April 25
ROADRUNNERS: The TAMU Roadrunners Club will meet for their
weekly run at 6 p.m. in front of G. Rollie White Coliseum. Anyone
is welcome to come and run a distancew of one, three or five
miles.
Thursday, April 26
CEPHEID VARIABLE: “Old Dracula.” (1976) This film updates and
adds a new twist to the adventures of Count Dracula. The Count is

fast-moving action he encounters Playboy Bunnies and other

Singing Cadets
The annual local concert given by the Texas A&M University
Singing Cadets will be held Saturday at 8 p.m. in Rudder Auditorium.
The group, whose main purpose is to represent Texas A&M in other
cities, gives only one full public performance in College Station each
year. The show is planned for only a few hours after the campus
Muster ceremony so a large number of students, parents and visitors
may attend. The group now has 57 members, all male, who contrib
ute their time and talent to sharing the Spirit of Aggieland with people
all over the country.

Drive-ins have declined in popularity since
the mid-1950s, when there were over 4,000
in the country. The reasons range from poor
sound to weather to the labeling of many
drive-ins as “scummy” by both parents and
young people. For more insight into the
