this spring and face Sam Houston
State today in a double-header at
Travis Park in Bryan. Game time is
scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
The Texas A&M women’s track
team will be out of town this
weekend, visiting Dallas for the
Metroplex Track Meet. SMU hosts
the event which includes UT-
Arlington and Baylor along with the
Aggies.
The field events begin at 1 p.m.
Saturday with the running events
scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. The
quadrangle meet is a warm-up for
the Aggies before they travel to
Lawrence and the Kansas Relays.
The Aggies have already qualified
10 members for the national meet
and Coach David Williams predicts
more will qualify.

showdown with Texas Tech, the
Texas Aggie lacrosse team downed
the University of Houston 11-0 and
LSU 18-0 Saturday. The two
victories ran A&M’s record to 7-0 in
conference play and 7-5 on the year.
The Fiesa Tournament, April
21-22 in San Antonio, will match
A&M and Tech in a battle of the
unbeatens to decide this year’s con
ference champion. The second
game of the tournament will pit the
Aggies against either the Houston or
San Antonio club.

In last week’s Texas Relays, the
two-mile relay team qualified for na
tionals with a time of 8:55.66. The

the state champion. Last weekend
the Aggies defeated the Houston
Hearts 14-10 to win the Texas
Rugby tlnion silver cup.
Down 10-0 at the half, the Aggies
tied the game and sent the contest
into overtime. In the extra period,
the Aggies scored first to win the
match.
The team will play its last games
of the season in Austin April 21-22,
entering its final series with a 25-1-1
record on the year.
