Mexico, Sweden set
oil, energy agreement

MEXICO CITY — Mexico will
sell Sweden 70,000 barrels of oil a
day starting in 1981, Swedish
Commerce Minister Hadar Cars
announced.
In interviews published Sunday
in Mexico City newspapers, Cars
also said Mexico and Sweden would
cooperate in development of
nuclear-electric energy and agricul
tural production.
Cars called the oil agreement
with Mexico important, saying it
would allow Sweden to diversify its
suppliers of fuel. Cars made his re
marks before he departed for Swe
den after a brief visit to Mexico.

inflation program.

sumers view — the view from the
wrong side of the cash register,”
said AFL-CIO President George
Meany as he unveiled his organiza-
tionls “Operation Price Watch.”
Meany said he believed the new

Meany said the AFL-CIO firmly
believes President Carter’s anti-
inflation program “is not working
and that inflation is worse” than it
was when the program started last

Meany said his staff had con
ducted a pilot program in several
cities to test Operation Price Watch.
He said he saw in one report that
of 80 items checked for price, two
went down and five remained the
same.
“In other words, 73 prices out of
80 increased,” Meany said.

“Our volunteers are not going to
be spies,” Meany said. “They are
not going to sneak into stores. They
are going to wear badges. Everyone
will know who they are and what
they are doing. ”
Meany said he expected that
some of the union members will find
unjustified price increases and are
“going to scream.”

insurance in case their advice turns
out to be “erroneous.”
The Iowa Insurance Department
has given approval for insurance
companies to begin providing the
malpractice insurance to clergymen
and religious institutions.

having marital problems. The
couple split up, but the enraged
husband shot his spouse. They man
aged to reconcile their differences,
reunited and filed a lawsuit against
the preacher who gave the marital
