CEPHEID VARIABLE: “Invasion of the Body Snatchers.” (1956) In
the original version of the film, a California doctor discovers that
people in his town are being replaced by aliens who duplicate
the humans’ bodies but retain their alien minds. At 8 and 10:30

GOLF: The men’s team is competing in the All-American In
vitational in Houston through Saturday.

detective Harry Calahan, who is on the trail of a crazed sniper
terrorizing San Francisco. At 8 p.m. in Rudder Theater. This is
the first film of the Clint Eastwood Film Festival, which extends
through Sunday.
AGGIE CINEMA: “Magnum Force.” (1973) Eastwood stars as
Calahan again as he attempts to catch a group of local vigilantes
who are killing off local mobsters. At 9:45 p.m. in Rudder Thea

AGGIE CINEMA: .“Play Misty for Me.” (1971) Eastwood stars as a
disc jockey who unknowingly sprurns the attentions of a girl who
aims to either possess or destroy him. At midnight in Rudder

BASEBALL: The Aggies play TCU at 3 p.m. in Fort Worth.
TRACK: The men’s and women’s teams will compete in the Uni
versity of Texas Relays in Austin through tomorrow.
Saturday, April 7
AGGIE CINEMA: “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.” (1976)
Eastwood stars as a gunfighter who seeks riches during the Civil
War. At 8 p.m. in Rudder Theater.
AGGIE CINEMA: “Outlaw Josey Wales.” (1977) Eastwood is a
man obsessed with revenge against a group of renegades who
murdered his wife and children. At 11 p.m. in Rudder Theater.
BASEBALL: The team will play TCU in a double-header beginning
at 1 p.m. in Fort Worth.
GOLF: The women will compete in the Lady Cardinal Invitational in
Vidor through Tuesday.
TENNIS: The women host Southwest Texas at 1 p.m.
Sunday, April 8
AGGIE CINEMA: “Paint Your Wagon.” (1969) Eastwood is joined
by Lee Marvin and Jean Seberg in this comedy-musical about a
gold-mining town full of brawling men, and the partnership of
Eastwood and Marvin and the wife they share. At 2 p.m. in
Rudder Theater.
TENNIS: The men will play TCU in Fort Worth.
Monday, April 9
ARTS COMMITTEE: “Pumping Iron.” (1977) This documentary,
which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, the man who won the Mr.
Olympia title six times, is a revealing look at the World Body
building Championship. At 8 p.m. in Rudder Theater.
BASEBALL: The team will host Oklahoma for a double-header
beginning at 1:30 p.m.
TENNIS: The men will play Texas Tech in Lubbock.
ELECTIONS: Student elections will be held for yell leader, OSA,
RHA, student government, graduate student council and class

QUINTET
THE SCENE ABOVE is from a new movie titled
“Quintet,” which is based on a killing game
invented by director Robert Altman. Paul
Newman stars as a player in the deadly game.
The look of the film will be unusual and the cast
will speak with multiple accents in order to
keep the film from being tied to a particular
time and place.

SWIMMING: The men and women will compete in the AAU Na
tionals in Los Angeles through Saturday.
RUNNERS: The TAMU Roadrunners Club will meet for their
weekly run at 6 p.m. in front of G. Rollie White Coliseum. Anyone
is welcome to come and run one, three or five mile routes.
