Thursday
CAMPUS CRUSADE FOR CHRIST: Will meet at 7 p. m. in Room
308, Rudder Tower. Steve Parker will speak on “How to Become
Great in Relation to Leadership Potential.” Everyone is invited.
METHODIST STUDENT MOVEMENT: W.C. Hall will continue
his study on the book of Revelations at 7 p. m. in Room 350, MSC.
CLASS OF ’82: Orders for class T-shirts are being taken in the MSC
main hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today through April 5.
TAMU FENCING CLUB: Nominations for officers will be held at
7:45 p.m. in Room 261, G. Rollie White Coliseum. Attendance is
mandatory.
MSC TRAVEL: Will meet at 7 p.m. in Room 206, MSC to discuss
problems and solutions for students traveling abroad.
HUMAN FACTORS CLUB: Edward S. Brown will speak on “Hu
man Factors in Military Product Design” at 8 p.m. in Room 342,
Zachry. Officer elections will be held and tickets will be sold for
the April 25 Banquet.
TENNIS TEAM: The women’s tennis team will play in the UT-
Austin Invitational Tournament today through Saturday in Austin.
AGGIECON X: Cepheid variable’s annual science fiction convention
begins today with “Logan’s Run,” about the life in the 23rd cen
tury where no one is allowed to live past 30, at 7 p.m. in Rudder
Theater. (PG) “Barbarella,” about a female James Bond (Jane
Fonda) will be shown at 9:30 p.m. in Rudder Theater. (PG) The
AggieCon X features speakers, art displays, films, panel dis
cussions and many other events. One day tickets are $2 and a pass
for the four days is $4. Four-day passes may be purchased at the
Rudder Box Office and one day tickets will be available only at the
door.
Friday
1ST ANNUAL SHSU CHILI COOK-OFF AND JAMBOREE: This
Leukemia Society benefit will be held 6 p.m. tonight until 6 p.m.
tomorrow at the Rise and Sun Club on Highway 356 at Trinity.
There will be places to camp tonight and entertainment including
Dean Scott, Jeff Demain ’n Austin, Dave Duplessley and the
Creole Express, Alex Harvey, and local entertainment. Anyone
interested in entering the chili cook-off Saturday should get in
contact with Roger Trevino at 295-0077.
BASEBALL: The baseball team will play Baylor in a conference game
here at 3 p.m.
GYMNASTICS: The gymnastics team will compete in the AIAW
National championships at Penn State.
AGGIECON X: Continues with “Rollerball,” starring James Caan
about a vicious game designed to channel anti-social feelings that
might interfere with economic growth in a 21st century society at
7 p.m. in Rudder Theater. (R) “The Exorcist,” starring Linda
Blair, which portrays the fear and anguish surrounding demonic
possession while exploring the nature of evil, will be shown at 9:10
p.m. in Rudder Theater. (R) “Collisions,” starring Lily Tomlin,
Gilda Radner and Dan Ackroyd in a sensitive story of the human
condition from birth to death to op culture and politics, will be
shown at 11:15 p.m. in Rudder Theater. (PG) “Countdowns,”
starring James Caan and Robert Duvall in a story of the Space
Race and Lunar Survival, will be shown at 12:50 a.m. in Rudder
Theater. (G)
Saturday
MECHANIZED AG CLUB: The Annual Spring Lawnmower Clinic
will be held from 8 a.m. until dark at the power and machinery
lab.
BASEBALL: The Aggies will play Baylor in a doubleheader at 1 p.m.
here.
TENNIS TEAM: The men’s team will play the University of Texas
here at 1:30 p.m.
