The students were without rooms even after Texas A&M Uni versity claimed its “no shows” Mon day evening. Ron Sasse, assistant director of student affairs, said the housing situ ation .was too hectic to determine an exact number of men without rooms. Sasse said he thought a space could be made on campus for every overassigned student. He said addi tional spaces would become availa ble when some students withdrew horn the University. “Some students may have to re main in dormitory lounges and study rooms,” Sasse said, hut added that the number of students living in each room still be reduced to aboulh He said some students will be pbj in empty spaces in the Corps! mitories. Marla Elaine Pitehford, 22, is being prosecuted under a state law allowing only licensed doctors to perform abortions. If convicted, she could be sentenced to 10 to 20 years m prison. Pitehford stared at the courtroom floor while the jury was selected Monday.
