This version of THE SLEEPING BEAUTY was originally produced by Ben Stevenson, Artistic Director, for London Festival Ballet and became their mainstay for many years. Working in conjunc tion with Mr. Stevenson was Peter Farmer, one of the world's leading designers. This 52 dancer production has received world acclaim for its "infectious vivacity". TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 14,1978 PINCHASZUKERMAN, VIOLINIST PINCHAS ZUKERMAN has unquestionably established him self as one of the greatest violinists of this century. He was praised by the TIMES of London as being "absolutely with out peer among violinists". The NEW YORK POST stated, "PINCHAS ZUKERMAN has a luxuriant talent. His com mand of the violin is so natural and’so inborn that tt\e most difficult passages appear one after the other — each with an easy 'hello' — a succession of conquests". ZUKERMAN has played as soloist with most of the great orchestras of the world and has performed as part of a duo with Isaac Stern. This will be his second appearance in this community. Two young couples fall prey to his plot, and their amorous antics are pure fun. This opera was first produced in Vienna in 1790 and consists of two acts. The TEXAS OPERA THEATER has wonderful costuming, makeup and setting; meticulous direction, plus generous quantities of talent.
