Marathon
About 1050 people are ex
pected to run all or some of
this route in Saturday’s sec
ond annual Texas A&M
marathon. They will run a
quarter marathon, a half
marathon, or a full marathon
(26 miles 385 yards). Joel
Barton, marathon official,
said he expected about 150
runners to compete in the
longest race. Awards will be
given for the first three
places in each distance in
eight men’s and four wo
men’s age groups. Races will
begin at 7:30 a.m. at G. Rol-
lie White Coliseum. Num
bers on the map refer to mile
points. Competitors in the
full marathon will run two
laps.
