HAVE A DEGREE IN
SCIENCE OR ENGINEERING?
If so, put that degree to work in the United States Air Force.
The Air Force has job openings for science and engineering
officers in many professional areas. Find out if one of them is
yours. Then ask about that excellent Air Force salary . . . the
executive experience . . . the worldwide assignments . . . liv
ing quarters ... 30 days of paid vacation a year . . . medical
and dental care . . . and many other Air Force benefits. It’s
one of the finest opportunities in the nation. For information,

tary Science Building. There were
18 high schools and five junior rifle
clubs from Texas and Louisiana in
volved in the tournament.
The Texas A&M rifle club was the
sponsor. Rifles were provided by
the club.
The high schools and rifle-clubs
were broken down into 36 teams.
The teams consisted of all male or
female teams and mixed teams.
There were three categories that
teams and individuals could partici
pate in; ROTC, club and women’s
categories.
Prone, kneeling and standing
were the three judging events that
all individuals participated in. A
person had to shoot in each of these
rifle positions. For each of the pos
