Cavalry presents three
shows in Houston soon
Parsons Mounted Cavalry saddles
up Friday for three appearances
representing Texas A&M University
in the Houston Livestock Show and
Rodeo.
The troop, commanded by Jack
Richardson of Alice, captured first
place for riding groups last weekend
in the San Antonio Livestock Show.
The troop also won the competition
last year and tied for first place in
the Alamo City's Battle of Flowers
parade competition of mounted
units last spring. The Texas A&M
cadets also led the Chisholm Trail
Riders Club into San Antonio's col
iseum.
Earlier, Parsons Mounted
Cavalry placed third in Fort Worth,
behind two professional riding
groups. They were part of what was
billed as the largest mounted parade
ever with a total of 1,050 horsemen.
At Houston, the 40-member
Texas A&M unit of 36 riders will
appear in a Friday morning parade
and at matinee arid evening rodeo
performances.
During spring break, the troop
will perform three days at the Mer
cedes show.
“It will be a fun trip, said troop
sponsor Maj. Ernest Fulford, “since
the guys won’t have to worry about
missing classes.
Parsons Cavalry again this year
will ride April 21 in the Battle of
Flowers parade.
Troop members will also partici
pate in the San Antonio A&M
Club’s Aggie Muster.

All you do is write a check.
At most banks the procedure for getting a loan is pretty simple: All
you need to do is call for an appointment, drive to the bank, see a
loan officer (after a short wait), explain your plans, complete some
paperwork, etc.
The procedure for a Bank of A&M Cash Reserve customer is even
simpler: All you do is write a check.
Cash Reserve is a pre-arranged line of credit for Bank of A&M
customers. It’s easy to qualify for, and the credit you establish is
yours to use on a revolving basis over and over.
No gimmicks. And absolutely no cost — until you write yourself a
loan. And the best part: repayment is automatically deducted from
your checking account monthly (at terms and amounts you
authorize in advance). No coupon books, no late payment fees.
For cash reserve checking, see the Bank of A&M. We’re more
than a bank because you’re more than a customer.
