Beauti-Turf is (ying Daniel’s design to use as a siness logo. Design media II (Environmental Design 212) was created two years ago to expose students to verbal and graphic communication. Professors in the architecture department reali zed that Texas A&M design students were weak in their graphic ability, Howeedy said. Design media II is open to both environmental design majors and non-majors. Ninety-six students are enrolled in Howeedy s classes this semester. “Anyone can take this class and do well in it. Howeedy said. “It helps very much with visual aids. “Drawing is not a gift. It must be developed. A student must coordi nate his mind, his eyes and his hands,’ Howeedy said. In environmental design, a stu dent should learn to sell his ideas without talking.
