A San Antonio center that trains
the unemployed for entry into the
work force will become part of the
Texas Engineering Extension Serv
ice (EES).
The transfer to the Extension
Service, part of the Texas A&M Uni
versity System, has been approved
by the Board of Regents.
To be known as the San Antonio

a segment of EES’ South Central
Texas Regional Training Center.
The present San Antonio Skills
Center has a staff of 60 and student
enrollment of 600. The latter are in
seven to nine-month training pro
grams in a variety of job areas. The
Texas Education Agency and city of
San Antonio-funded center has been
administered six years by the San
Antonio Junior College District.
