Texas recovered the errant pitch. Five plays later, the Horns found themselves just four yards from the winning touchdown. Wade dropped back to pass once again. Under a heavy rush, the senior quarterback lofted a pass towards the endzone. Aggie defender James Willenborg intercepted the softly thrown ball, but the official standing on the in line said that he was out of bounds. Texas scored on the next play, and won the game 15-13. “It is the greatest injustice to ever happen in football, A&M coach Hank Foldberg said after the game. “Replays clearly show that Jimmy was had both knees in bounds.
