Army shows helicopter A medical-evacuation helicopter from Fort Hood was to land on the Texas A&M University campus today and pick up an injured person from the polo fields on the east side of campus. The event, scheduled for 2 p.m., is a demonstration of the Army’s Military Assistance to Safety and Traffic (MAST) program and is open to the public. After the landing, the helicopter offers Student ID Discounts! Happy Cottage [across from Luby’s] crew will pick up the “injured per son,” simulate first-aid and take-off for a hospital facility. Once air borne, the craft will return to the polo fields and the crew will give a brief explanation of the MAST project. The exhibition is sponsored by Texas A&M’s Health and Physical Education Department and the Texas A&M Emergency Care Team. At the 1977 Red River Forensics Classic hosted by Louisiana State University in Shreveport, debaters David Houston and Jeff Perkins won third place in Senior Debate. The two competed in the senior division against juniors and seniors from Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana. The Texas A&M team also had members at the Southwest Texas Forensics Festival in San Marcos the same weekend. They competed with students from 29 coll universities and tied for sweepstakes. David Dally, Becky Parloi Diana Aldrich won Suptii Awards, the highest possible. Copeland and Jimmy Jolly werej defeated. The Texas A&M speakers*# awards at the Festival to third place trophy. Leave your name, major and I.D. number with the Ring Clerk, Room Seven, Richard Coke Ruilding, prior to November 10th. THIS MAY NOT BE DONE BY PHONE. 2.
