Members of Texas A&M University’s chapter of Cwens, a
national honor society for sophomore women, prepare to fold
their banner for the last time. Cwens was disbanded under
federal law and the renamed organization, Lamba Sigma,
admitted its first male members this year. Texas A&M
archivist Charles Schultz, rear, accepts the banner and
charter from the state’s only chapter. Attending are Bill
