The 30-482;\|nior Class Council appointed fennessee Irstin Archer chairman of the class 489-446 ill committee to research ideas, abama fiiMveral ideas were submitted for )5. ■nsideration by the council, which consisted of all interested class members. Among these ideas were a Texas A&M endowed scholarship, a statue of Gov. Richard Coke, re novation of the All Faiths Chapel, and the seal of A&M to be placed in a building on campus. For various reasons, the first three ideas were rejected and the council voted dur ing the fall semester of 1976 to in stall the seal in the Academic build ing. Three bids and sets of plans for the seal were submitted to the gift committee. The project was awarded to Hutchinson on the basis of price and because he was as sociated with Texas A&M. Total cost of the project was about $5,100 which was taken from money raised by the class during the previous three years. The dedication ceremony Satur day will include a reading of the his tory of the seal given by Miss Kerstin Archer. Class President Andy Dufhe will present the seal to Texas A&M Pres ident Jarvis Miller. The program will conclude with the singing of “The Spirit of Aggieland” by the Singing Cadets. r Plaza IANNEL C SOUND 55 I Do you want to f lyP Face it . . . you've always wanted to fly!
