“Students who will not be on campus when
the yearbooks are published, usually by Sep
tember 1, must pay a mailing and handling
fee. Yearbooks will not be held, nor will they
lie mailed without the necessary fees having
been paid. ”

semifinalists were credited with sav
ing a total of 11 lives. Since the pro
gram, sponsored by a pet food com
pany, began in 1954, dog contes
tants have been credited with saving
nearly 225 human lives and 300
animals.
The other semifinalists included:
Jefferson, an Irish setter owned
by Mr. and Mrs. James Fitzpatrick
of Highland, HI., who saved the
family’s 16-year-old daughter from
electrocution. The girl, home alone,
was swimming in the family s bac
kyard swimming pool and left the
water to plug in the pool’s filter.
