NAIROBI, Kenya — Two of 16
Ugandans charged with plotting to
overthrow President Idi Amin have
been acquitted by a military tri

day.
But the radio said the ease against
the 14 other prominent Ugandans

The Ugandans acquitted on
charges of treason were Apolo
Lawoko, former controller of pro

Odria, a teacher.
The tribunal threw out the cases
against them when they heard that
Lawoko joined the plot after being
threatened with death if he didn’t
join and that Odria had tipped oil
authorities about the plan.

Marriages illegal (

Frey confiscated the prisoners’
