Page 8A THE BATTALION WEDNESDAY, MAY 4, 1977 Administrators present Organized streak-in doesn’t come off Dr. Koldus wore a black tuxedo. Some wore leisure suits, others, shirts with neckties. Some carried cameras and strobe flash units. They assembled in front of the Academic Building about ten o’clock last night, but they didn’t get what they expected. Signs seen on campus hinted at an organized streaking to be held last night. And curious students, concerned administrators and cam pus police were ready. They sat on benches, stood in groups and lingered in front of trees — hoping to catch a glance or catch a streaker. Dr. John J. Koldus, vice president of student services, had just returned from a formal dinner sponsored by Air Force ROTC. He waited, along with Charles Powell, director of student affairs, and Ron Blatchley and Toby Rives, associate directors. Did the administrators come to watch the streaking? “No,” said Koldus. “To catch them — to stop them and to put them in the podunck.” Administrators were concerned because of an incident at Sam Houston State University, where a streaker filed suit against the school after being expelled for the offense, said Jerry Mainord, area coordinator for the Corps area. The court ruled in favor of the university, he added. “Streaking is no longer ‘good bull’ on this (A&M’s) campus,” he said. '/ • Those who attended the non-event began to leave shortly before 11. “Let’s just say ‘farmers fight and call it a night,”’ Blatchley said.
