What are your qualifications for
[s office?
My major qualification is that I
will be able to unify the 12th Man
into one big Fightin’ Texas Aggie
Spirit. I have known and respected
A&M traditions for years. While at
tending an A&M and t.u. football
game six years ago in Kyle Field, I
was privileged to sit with the 12th
Man, and I realized that this won
derful spirit had to be part of my
life.
The yell leader is the organizer,
leader and spokesman of the 12th
Man. Our opponents will get a first
impression of A&M by the conduct
of the yell leaders and I am sure
every Aggie knows that should be
one of respect.
What do you consider to be your
role in student affairs?
I plan on helping with the orien
tation of freshmen and transfer stu
dents this summer at A&M.
Should yell leaders serve as
spokesmen for student athletes?
This question should be left up
entirely to the athletes whether
they want the team captain or yell
leaders to be their spokesmen. The
yell leaders’ main purpose is to rep
resent the 12th Man.
How would you unify the increas
ingly diverse student body at Texas
A&M?
I was very disappointed when
part of the 12th Man left the stands
before yell practice at the Tech
game. Aggies never give up. It
seems some did not know of a yell
practice, and not often do Aggies
get outscored. If more of the 12th
Man would go to the weeknight yell
practices, they would know more
about the Aggie spirit. The yell
leaders are the informants of Aggie
spirit and tradition.

HOW TO GET A LIFETIME SUPPLY
OF LONE STAR LONG NECKS FOR 84<(.
It’s a pain to come up with
that 84# deposit on your first
case of Lone Star Long Necks.
But you’re home free on
every other case you buy.
You know what this
means? A never-ending
supply of the legendary
Long Neck bottles.
Forever. Perpetually
For time/? «v eternal.
You can pass
them on in your
will just like your other
worldly possessions.
You can consider them a
hedge against inflation, in
stead of putting your money
into gold or silver, you
shrewdly gfc, \ ^got into
glass
ware.)
You can return them if
you want to mb your nickels
together again.
But you’ll probably want to
bring them back to the place
you bought them. This way
you can end up with
something even more
valuable than a case of
Long Necks.
A case of Long Necks full
of Lone Star Beer.
