Adams is a former staff assistant to the commandant at Texas A&M University. He succeeds the recently-elected Mike Goeken, who accepted new employment. Club President Malon Southerland said Adams’ appoint ment was approved by the board of directors. The new activities vice president works for Meiller Re search Inc. Next Tuesday’s meeting, at the Texas A&M party quonset hut, will feature Adams former boss, Col. Thomas R. Parsons. The comman dant and professor of military sci ence will speak on some of the lighter moments of his six years in the Trigon. Red measles can cause mental retardation in complicated cases, and German measles in pregnant women can cause fetal defects. ATTORNEY GENERAL John Hill returned yesterday from Mexico with a list of crimes Mexican officials need help in investigating. At the top of the list is finding a Matamoros policeman who extorted $14,000 from an American. While in Mexico, Hill visited four young American women who have been held in a mexican jail for three years, convicted of bringing cocaine into Mexico.
