ernational architectural, engi-
ering, planning and project man-
ment firm, have for the third con-
utive year presented Texas A&M
iversity a $3,400 gift.
jA majority of the contribution wil
ce again go to the College of
(chitecture and Environmental
sign to be used by the dean for
cial projects.
he check was presented to Dean
ymond Reed by Jack M. Rains,
the firm’s executive vice president
and a 1960 A&M graduate, and H.
Davis Mayfield III, director of busi
ness development and a 1968 A&M
graduate. Rains said that the 22 Ag
gies at 3D comprise a larger per
centage of the professional staff, as
well as of the 3D board of directors,
than any other single university.
“Unrestricted gifts, such as
provided by 3D are particularly val
uable because they allow us to
undertake various academic
enrichment programs and related
endeavors for which state funds are
not appropriated,” Dean Reed said.
The 3D contribution represents
100 per cent participation by A&M
graduates in 3D’s Houston, Dallas,
Austin, New York City, Riyadh,
Saudi Arabia, and Abu Dhabi,
United Arab Emirates Offices.
Each individual contribution was
matched by 3D.
3D/Neuhaus and Taylor, a part of
3D, is the architect for the Kleberg
Animal & Food Sciences Center now
under construction on the new A&M
west campus.
