Associated Press
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio’s
$436 million lawsuit against its gas
suppliers hogged down in a hearing
yesterday on sticky legal procedures
which threaten to lengthen the case.
The hearing will determine if
there is enough evidence to show
that Coastal States and its chairman,
Oscar S. Wyatt Jr., actually commit
ted alleged fraud in their home
county.
Both Coastal and Wyatt in their
pleas claim their case should he in
Harris County (Houston) where they
both reside.
Most of the city’s documents in
cluded a series of letters exchanged
between Wyatt and City Public
Service board of San Antonio (CPS)
during the 1960s.
