1 THE BATTALION Page 9A FRIDAY, APRIL 23, 1976 Instructor Evaluations The purpose of Instructor Evaluations is to assist you in gaining the most from the educational resources available at Texas A&M Univer sity by acquainting you with other students’ opinions of the teachers they have had. This program was designed strictly for student usage and convenience, and not for the university administration. Informa tion was obtained from the questionnaire reprinted on this page. The evaluation was conducted on a voluntary basis, however some instruc tors were unable to participate because of the inherent nature of the courses they taught, because of limited course schedules, or because of various other reasons. The information contained in this issue is based on evaluations performed during the fall semester 1975. The information is divided into the different departments, with courses listed in sequence. Values have been assigned to the responses for questions 6-15 as follows: STRONGLY AGREE SLIGHTLY AGREE NEUTRAL SLIGHTLY DISAGREE STRONGLY DISAGREE A mean and standard deviation have been completed for each ques tion. A mean of 2.5 would indicate that the instructor had been rated halfway between slightly agree and neutral. A large standard deviation would indicate a wide variance of opinions among the students. A further breakdown is provided in the distinction between evalua tions performed by students enrolled in that major field and students from other majors. 1976 Spring Edition Compiled by: The Academic Affairs Committee of Student Government at Texas A&M University _ STUDENT GOVERNMENT INSTRUCTOR EVALUATION mm CED CED (H) (2D (ED dD GD GD GsD (2D (2D GD COD GO CED GED GED GD QD (sD GED GED GszD GE) Gs) CD (3) (33 Ot) <33 3D CT <&> GE> <3I> CD O CS) ® GD ® CH> <3D CE> GD GD CHD dD GD GD CHD CHD GD GD GD CcD (zD CSD GD CHD CHD GED CiD CeD GD GD (5) GD (e) GD ®e><*>C»<3>C£>«>®ffl>Oe><®CBOC3>08>CS> (ED(H>CE)(!DGE>CX)(E)CH>(HDCH>CaDC£>CH>CE)ODCQ> ®®CS>aDQD«>0=>aD<®<5>aDaD«><£>aS>G3<=><»<®><3>C5><®GS GD (HD CHD GED CHD CHD CHD GD CHD CHE) CHD CcD GD (30 GD CHD (HD CHD dD CHE) CHD CHD CHD GD Go) GED <&) <30 <£> ® (S> ®S> <5D <5D ® QD CED ® ® 05 <5> GD CHD CHD (3D CHD CHD CHD CHD CHD CHD CHD GD GD CSD CHD CHD CHD CHD GD GD (HD CHD GD GD GD CD C3) <35 <®®«>C3>a&aD<*>©aDaDG5>®0a>«DGe>GB CHD CHD CED QD (HD GD (H) GD CED GD (HD GD CSD CSD CHD CED (HD (HD CSD CED (HD CHD CSD CHD CHD CED (S>CS<3><3>@Gi>C3>CC)@<5><«D<=><2>Q5><3>®®CS><3>aD®<5><5)<3D<»e>®a£>CS>G>CS><2>C5><*> (x) OD QD GeD c—o GD CisD <2D Ca) <5D (jeD (X) (>—) c^o t—o t—i (ST) ceV) t-»o CED Css) f<~»i GzD C5D Gi> c—»> GED GE) c t v-») c>s>i t—i toi m 'Mii.
