Host S.F.A. finished first in the five team meet. Sharon Boyle led the way for the Aggies, winning first place in both the mile and two mile runs with times of 5:38 and 12:03, respective ly. Boyle’s time of 19:11 also earned her second place in the three mile run. Martha Sartain won the 880 yard run with a time of 2:23.8 and finished the 440 yard run in 62 flat to take third in that event. Brenda Schneider and Diane McCrady finished third and fourth, respectively, in the three mile run, while Darcey Ehmann took sixth place in the 100 yard dash. Kay Kingsbery also took sixth in the 880 yard run. Sartain, Ehmann, Schneider, and Boyle teamed up to capture third place in the mile relay, while the team of Barbara Rowe, Ehmann, Schneider, and Sartain took sixth in the 440 yard relay. In the field events, Ehmann won first in the discus with a throw of 130-5, and captured fourth place in the shot put. Sandra Lyman took second place in both the shot put and discus with throws of 39-3/4 and 119-7, respectively. Kim Walker’s throw of 32-9 gained her sixth place in the shot put, while Sartain jumped 16-3 to win third in the long jump. Last week in Port Lavaca, both Ehmann and Lyman qualified to compete in the discus throw in Na tionals, which will be held May 12, 13, and 14 at Kansas State. The next competition for the Ag gies will come this Saturday when they compete in Texas Woman’s University Invitational in Denton. Aggie women’s golf and track Texas A&M women’s golf, tennis team and track team will be in action this week. The golf team will meet Sam Houston in a dual match Tuesday at Elkins Lake. The tennis team visits the University of Houston for a dual match Wednesday be fore competing in the Zone Tour nament in Belton Friday and Saturday. The track team will be in the TWU Relays in Denton Saturday.
