$269,000.
The THD already has widened a
stretch of the Wellborn Road just

lanes plus a left turn lane. Wellborn
Road is four lanes wide from north of
Jersey Street to the University Drive

Bockmon said traffic traveling

These seven installations will be

’ SATURDAY
Class of 1978 presents its
ore ball at 8 p.m. in the MSC
lent opportunities for student job
hunters.
The leaflet, lying on a table in the
library, is an example of advertising
that is prohibited on the Texas A&M
campus.
Organizations not recognized by
the University cannot advertise on
campus except by direct mail,
phone, or in The Battalion.
This fall, an ad hoc committee was
appointed by Vice President of Stu
dent Services John Koldus, to study
the problem of advertising. The
committee, composed of students,
faculty and staff, wanted to review
every advertising item used on cam
pus, said Ron Blatchley, assistant di
rector of Student Affairs. It eventu
ally decided to establish basic
guidelines and pass them on to other
University departments, he said.
Many departments follow just the
guidelines, while others add more
stipulations.
One of the organizations with ad
ditional requirements is the Memo
rial Student Center. The Building
Studies Committee of the MSC
Council has recently passed mea
sures stating that all ad material
posted in the MSC must be ap
proved by the student programs of
fice. Staff member Don Rohel has
the responsibility^ of excluding any
thing that is not from University or
ganizations.
Enforcement of the rules around
campus is not organized in any man
ner other than departmental discre
tion, Blatchley said.
Blatchley said he personally takes
down any non-university ads he sees
and has contacted several businesses
to inform them of the violations.
Some of them feel that they have
the right to advertise on campus, he
said, but the University just does not
have the room.

Industrial Engineers,
Aramco has plans for you
in Saudi Arabia.
The Arabian American Oil Company has some
excellent career openings for Senior Industrial and
Management Engineers in Saudi Arabia.
The challenge.
We are looking for alert, aggressive engineers
who will undertake responsibility for significant
industrial engineering projects and studies involv
ing manpower, equipment, and facility utilization
studies; major cost reduction studies; and institute
organization studies, job design, and job structure
development.
The qualifications.
Because of the demanding responsibilities of
theSe positions, it is preferable that you have an
engineering BS plus an MBA or MS in Industrial
Engineering. You will need a minimum of 5 years
progressively responsible experience. Duties
are in project I.E. assignments and studies,
and not in classical time study/MTM I.E. It is
highly desirable that your experience be in con
tinuous process industries such as petroleum
or chemical.
Why work in Saudi Arabia?
Working for Aramco in Saudi Arabia offers you
several big advantages. One is the opportunity to
save because of your overseas premium and cost
differential. Another is our liberal vacation policies
that give you the chance to travel worldwide. And
besides being paid a top salary, you are offered
excellent benefit programs. You will also find that
Aramco provides fine school, hospital, and
recreational facilities.
Send us your resume.
If you’re qualified, we would like to hear from
you. Send us a resume of your work and salary
history, and we will be in touch with you.
