TCU upset darkhorse Baylor 65-63 in Waco, ala Texas A&M’s win over the Froggies in Ft. Worth Saturday. The Frogs, however, had to erase an 11-point halftime deficit before playing super defense to gain the win. SMU smashed Rice 108-71 in Dal las to stay on the Aggies’ trail and simultaneously not spoiling the Owls’ chances of becoming the first winless SWC team in over a decade. The Ags are at home Saturday against the Bears to complete the only two straight home games of the SWC season. The Ags must then gear up for a very tough two week schedule. They travel to play SMU, return for Tech, go to Hofheinz for UH, then return for Arkansas before jogging the home stretch against TCU and Rice.
