will attend A&M
Curtis Dickey, a Class 4-A all-
State selection last year and a likely
candidate this year, is expected to
attend Texas A&M University next
fall.
The Bryan High School product
made a verbal commitment to Head
Coach Emory Bellard Monday
morning.
A highly sought after running
back, Dickey has made headlines
throughout the state the past two
seasons. Besides being a definite
threat from scrimmage, he is
equally gifted in returning punts
and kickoffs. He was also a finalist in
the 100 and 220 state 4-A track finals
last year.
“I thought about visiting other
schools but I changed my mind,”
faid Dickey. “I didn’t want to go
through all that recruiting hassle.”
Dickey will be unable to officially
sign with the Aggies until the
Southwest Conference signing date
Feb. 3.
