By DAVID WALKER
Staff Sports Writer
Unlike last week’s press confer
ence everyone was all smiles yes
terday as Shelby Metcalf met the
press only one day after his Texas
Aggies had wrapped up a share of
the 1975 Southwest Conference
basketball championship.
“Everything is still kind of dull,”
said the tired but happy Metcalf. “I
haven’t been to sleep yet but it
doesn’t really bother me I’m so
happy. ”
Metcalf was talking about his
team’s sudden solo act atop the
SWC. It came about Tuesday night
when the Aggies drubbed SMU
100-77 and Baylor shocked Texas
Tech in Waco 60-55.
