Dr. Williams was addressing the Federation of TAMU Mothers’ Clubs executive board meeting Saturday. The Moms were on cam pus to lay the groundwork for the April convention which will bring representatives to TAMU from all over the state. B“We are planning a beautiful campus for the Centennial but no one can do anything with 100 per cent approval,” Williams explained. “There has been much, hard work and time put in by a lot of people to make the project a success. I know it will make the campus a showplace for the nation. ” H The administration expects about 2*000 more students next year, climbing to a student enrollment of about 28,000 in the next few years. || Williams also cited the increased holding power of the university that Reps the students coming back. ■ “We love young people and that’s why we re in the business, Wil liams went on. “The University puts out people who do good works as well as just good students.” ■ Williams was honored as the Moms’ “Man of the Year.” The 54 Aggie Mothers Clubs are scattered ^across the state boasting more than 2,600 members. Most club ac tivities result in hinds to support various aspects of student life at TAMU. p The executive meetings are also planned for university leaders and other guests to help the mothers understand life at TAMU. Foreign students oriented An international students orien tation will be conducted by the Foreign Student Advisors office Thursday. It will include introduction to Terminology, regulations, proce dures, international student groups and tours of the University Library and Memorial Student Center. Up to 70 participants are ex pected. Many are here in an English Language Institute. A Wednesday reception, from 3 to 5 p.m. in 230-231 MSC, and 6 p m. supper hosted by the Univer sity Lutheran Chapel highlight the orientation. The Extension Service Club, through Mrs. Ann Cotner and Miss Sadie Hatfield, are handling the re ception. Pastor Hubert Beck and ladies of several churches are coor dinating the supper. Both have been regular features for new inter national students. TAMU’s Academic Counseling Center, Student Government, stu dent insurance agent, dorm coun selor Warren Faulkner and Univer sity Police Chief O. L. Luther will assist in the orientation.
